Aizawl, July 29: Even as the Identification process for the 7th Batch Bru Repatriation has been continued as per schedule, no one has turned up for the same till yesterday.
As has been scheduled, identification of Bru refugees at North Tripura District Naisingpara Camp (Kashitampur RR Camp) as to whether they are genuine residents of Mizoram began from yesterday at Mizoram Bru Displaced People Forum (MBDPF) office, Naisingpara Relief Camp.
SDCs from Mamit, Kolasib and Lunglei District and 2 representatives of Kanchanpur SDM from Tripura government went to conduct the identification which shall continue till 5th August, 2015.
As per schedule, Reang (Bru) refugees who are being lodged in 6 Transit Camps in North Tripura are to be repatriated in a phase manner.
The identification process had been initiated in 4 camps but no one turning up for the same. This time too, no one has turned up as of yesterday, as per official report here.
There are 2469 families lodging at Nasingpara Camp.
