Aizawl, Nov 23: A Central government initiative, Cable T.V Network Digitization across the country-a conversion from the existing Analog into Digital- has now reached Mizoram being covered by the Phase III of the Digitization programme, and the same is to be completed by 31st December, 2015, official release here today said.
With this, Set Top Box has become a must-have for every TV owning households in the State in order to continue watching TV programmes from 31st December, 2015 onwards. Set Top Box would enhance picture quality, besides there would be more Channels and carries with it a convenience of selecting/purchasing channels of one’s own choice.
Cable TV Digitization is also said boost Internet connection and would add to the tax revenue of both the Central and the State government.
The Digitization work is being systematically carried out across the country by a designated Task Force.
Mizoram government is now working with Multi System Operator (MSO) for the same.
The boon of Cable TV Digitization has been witnessed in bigger States of the country which have been covered by Phase-I and Phase-II, official information today mentioned.
