Aizawl, Dec 9: Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla today said that while the people of the model villages under Sansad Adhars Gram Yojana (SAGY) have high expectation, there is but difficulty in materialising all the plans under the scheme as no separate fund is allocated for it.
Therefore, it is much desirable if MPs and MLAs can make the most use of their fund for the scheme, Chief Minister said, adding that it may be necessary to use the State Fund too. Chief Minister was in the day speaking to department leaders during his meeting with them at Serchhip DC office.
CM asked each department to work hard in carrying out the proposals that has been made late.
The first important task would be to conduct baseline survey, Chief Minister advised, adding that model village carries many things with it, which would benefit the people provided they follow it properly.
It is true that the Prime Minister has said the time India becomes a developed nation is when the rural villages developed, Chief Minister said, calling Serchhip District to be the best. Chief Minister also said that other than Line departments may also involve adding that coordination would be much necessary.
The people’s participation would be very much important, CM further said.
Chief Minister has adopted Buangpui while Vanlalawmpuii Chongthu adopted N.Vanlaiphai and Er. Lalrinawma, Tuikum MLA adopted Chhingchhip in Serchhip District under the Central Scheme SAGY.
