Aizawl, Aug 11: Accused of creating annoyance to the people of Vairengte, Col. Ravindra Singh, CIJWS was immediately transferred to Guwahati today.
Governor Lt.Gen. Nirbhay Sharma (Rtd.) called on Commanding Officer Maj. Gen.Vivek Sehgal yesterday for the same, immediately after the people of Vairengte made an appeal to his highness.
Not only that Col. Ravindra Singh was transferred but investigation will be carried out, CIJWS leaders informed the Governor.
The Governor also today invited Mizoram Police DGP Thianghlima Pachuau for discussion over the matter.
The Governor in the mean time expressed his wish that Vairengte village and CIJWS may continue to live peacefully.

The official report today said that against Col. Ravindra Singh, Col.Kuldeep Singh Kalsi, CIJWS had on July 4, 2015 submitted FIR at Vaireng Police Station accusing the former of beating him for no reason.
Vairengte village leaders thanked Governor Lt.Gen. Nirbhay Sharma (Rtd.) for his quick action in compliance to their appeal and said that they too want to live peacefully with CIJWS as before.
