Aizawl, Oct 6: Under the guidance of Lok Sabha MP CL Ruala, the Chairman of Lawngtlai District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, review of various development projects in Lawngtlai for the current fiscal was held at Lawngtlai DC Conference Hall today.
As per the report given in the review meeting, construction of 40.310 km Diltlang to Chawngte Road under PMGSY is on. The road is to be constructed at a cost of Rs 24.77 Crore. Under Swachh Bharat Missions (Rural) Programme, construction of 2030 toilets is planned, of which 780 are to be completed during the current fiscal. 13 villages have been selected for the same.
From the total fund Rs 697.20 Lakhs estimated under Swachh Bharat (Rural) Missions, Rs 149.26 has been received so far.
Plan has also been made for dumping grounds in 35 villages, of 3 villages are estimated to be covered during the current fiscal.
Under MNREGS, 7 workdays have been created this year, for which Rs 407.129 Lakhs has been spent. There are 27504 Job Card holders in Lawngtlai District. Rs 1175.66 lakh has been received from Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) in 2014-15, Rs 262.59 lakhs utilized now, with which 28 different works are being carried out.
Under Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP), Rs 727.05 lakh has been received so far in the current fiscal, of which Rs 441.0163 Lakh has been released to Project Implementing Agencies (various departments) and works are being carried on.
Headed by Lok Sabha MP CL Ruala, District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee comprises Lawngtlai District DC J. Hmingthanmawia, H. Dolianbuaia, Project Director DRDA, and other members.
