Aizawl, Nov 11: Against earlier schedule, Food Security Act (FSA) shall not be implemented in Mizoram in November 2015.
State daily Vanglaini today quoted Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) minister John Rotluangliana as saying that due to complaint made by State main opposition party MNF Selection Committee for FSA has been reconstituted.
“As this would take quite some time we shall not be able to implement it during November”, the Minister said.
According to John Rotluangliana, Selection Committee has almost buy gabapentin online cheap completed its works as regards the beneficiary of FSA while other necessary works are being carried on.
It is not known as of now when FSA shall be used, he added.
Food Security Act will cover 7, 06,296 persons in Mizoram, which covers, as per 2011 Census, 81.88% rural population and 48.60% urban population of the State. Under Food Security Act, the beneficiary would buy 5 kg of rice per month at Rs. 3 per kg.
