Aizawl, Sept 15: In pursuance of the MoU for joint venture between Mizoram government and UN Agencies, various initiatives are being taken and different works being carried out.
In Agriculture, Horticulture, Skill Development and in other fields, steps are being taken in collaboration with UN Consultants.
Now, as per the request of Mizoram, ILO will start taking steps for the programme- ‘Study for manpower planning, Industry Linkages for Employment Opportunities and Assessing Skill Development Needs for Aizawl District’, official statement said today.
In order to study the various needs of Mizoram, experts of a reputed Organization in India ‘DEFT Advisory and Research’ will carry out field study and conduct research by visiting different parts of Mizoram, the official statement said.
They will also hold interaction with leaders of various organizations and leaders in different fields in the state.
NLUP Implementing Board has asked the people to put up their proposals and suggestions before the experts of concerning the needs of Mizoram.
Labour & Employment Department has been appointed to guide the ‘DEFT Advisory and Research’ experts during the field study and research programme.
