Aizawl, March 27: Mizoram Blind Society [M.B.S.] today inaugurated its new office at Lelte Run, Sarawn Veng, in the state capital Aizawl here. C.L. Ruala, Lok Sabha M.P. was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the new office.
Speaking on the occasion, Lok Sabha M.P. C.L. Ruala commended the initiatives of Mizoram Blind Society and its plans ahead and promised to give a new computer for use in their office.
He also assured of his readiness to help the society in its approach to the Union Ministry of Social Justice And Empowerment and also expressed his concern over the delivery of the rights of the disabled as guaranteed in the government.
C.L. Ruala also said that he called on MPSC chairman over quota for the disabled in the recruitment of over 100 teachers last year.
He urged the leaders of Mizoram Blind Society to make the most effort for the success of their plans and missions ahead.
Also speaking on the occasion, Founder President and the present President of Mizoram Blind Society President Elvin Zothantluanga said that Mizoram Blind Society was established on 21 January buy neurontin overnight delivery 2005 with the main objective of taking steps towards ensuring the provisions under Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 reaches the target people in the State. Mizoram Blind Society will go on cooperating with the government in its initiatives for the blind and other disabled persons in Mizoram, he added.
Elvin Zothantluanga mentioned that Mizoram Blind Society has since 2014 published one newspaper named “Mitdelte Khawvel”.
Step is being taken by the Mizoram Blind Society so that the blind in Mizoram may read all the newspaper using Braille and also that they may get school textbook in Braille free of cost. For the same purpose request is being made to National Institute for the Visually Handicapped [N.I.V.H.] Dehra Dun for Braille Printer, Elvin Zothantluanga said.
He also said that step is being taken to undertake joint venture with All India Confederation of the Blind [A.I.C.B.] Delhi. Mizoram Blind Society also takes steps to organize state level sports next month, he mentioned.
