Aizawl, July 30: The current financial problem of the state government cannot be solved at once as it is has its root in the past, Finance Minister Lalsawta said today.
Meanwhile, he added that, as per the intention and plan of the government, the problem is expected to be over within 3 or 4 years from now.
The State Finance Minister was speaking as Chief Guest at the 28th General Conference of Mizoram Audit & Accounts Service Association (MAASA) here today at Aijal Club.
Speaking on the importance of Charter Accountancy which, he said, the world needs, the Minister said that experts in this field have the chance to work even in foreign countries. The Minister encouraged the students in the state to take up Accountancy, and added that the same may be included as one of the most important subjects of study.
The Minister asked the members of MAASA to act boldly in anything that they find is wrongful.
MAASA passed Resolutions concerning service rules, 36 vacant posts, which they want to be filled up at the earliest, and regarding new Office Building which they want the government to make arrangement following the release of AMC saying that the office building is not safe.
