Aizawl, April 4: Capt (Rtd) Praveen Dayar, Member, National Commission for Minority Affairs, who visited Mizoram later last week on a two-night stay, called on Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla on Saturday evening at the latter’s residential bungalow where they had a close interaction.
Capt (Rtd) Praveen Dayar told Cahief Minister of his purpose of visit to Mizoram, mentioning that he also had last year visited Mamit regarding Multi Sectoral Development Project (MSDP).
Chief Minister on his part told the visiting NCM member that he hope the minorities in Mizoram surely get the benefits under Prime Minister New 15-Point programme and MSDP. Capt (Rtd) Praveen Dayar gave a gift to Chief Minister’s wife Lal Riliani sent by his wife.
National Commission for Minority Affairs Member Capt. (Rtd) Praveen Dayar during his visit held meeting with the state government top officials and dicussed with the state government top leaders over the various initiatives through Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme and Multi Sectoral Development Project (MSDP).
Capt.(Rtd) Praveen Dayar told the department officials to ask for if there is any possible works under MSDP and PM New 15 Point Programme. He also assured to take follow up steps at the Centre regarding the proposals they put up before him.
NCM Member, Capt. Praveen Davar also on Saturday visted Kolasib District, where he held a meeting with the district officials on Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Religious Minorities and during the meeting he took stock of the initiatives taken under the programme, its coverage and the problems involved.
Capt Praveen Davar said that he came to ensure the ground situation with the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities in Mizoram.
Apart from the report given to him by the DC and other district officers during the meeting, the visiting Capt. Praveen Davar asked the former to submit in writing on the additional information he would like to know latest by April 15.
