Aizawl, Sept 16: Drastic measure is crucial from now onward to send corrupted persons and their aides to jail, said PRISM president Vanlalruata during a function to mark the decennial celebration of the anti-corruption watchdog.
The decennial celebration cum inauguration of General Headquarters of People Right to Information and Development Implementing Society of Mizoram (PRISM) was held today at I&PR Auditorium here in Aizawl which was graced by MJA president Vanlalrema Vantawl as chief guest.
Addressing the celebration, MJA president Vanlarema Vantawl exulted at the good results of the initiative taken by Prism in combating corruption and evil practices in the state.
He said that the Northern region has been viewed as a center of corruption by many Indian states and the finding by CAG that huge money involving crores of rupees had been vanished following the negligence of government officials was in fact very embarrassing which invites more drastic order neurontin without prescription measure to end this evil.
Emphasizing the need to have positive view, MJA President said while people have an abhorrence of corruption or corrupted persons they should also learn how to value and honour persons free from corruption.
The decennial celebration was presided over by Prism Advisory Board member, Lallungmuana in which Prism General Secretary RL Liantluanga gave a report on the measures and function of Prism.
A report showed that ever its inception, Prism had filed 67 FIR with ACB and CBI and over 297 people accused of indulgence in corruption had been exposed. Besides, a report also mentioned that about Rs 1800 crore belonged to the government had been saved.
Established on 1 August, 2006, Prism has now become one of the largest anti-corruption watchdogs in Mizoram. Its General Headquarter is in Aizawl. Besides, Prism has Southern Headquarter (Lunglei), district headquarter and 331 branches across the state.
