Aizawl, Aug 4: Mizoram State Health Society Executive Committee Meeting was held today under the guidance of Chairman Lalhmingthanga IAS, Secretary Health & Family Welfare, at Secretariat Conference Hall here in Aizawl.
Among others, the meeting discussed new Guidebook for Health Workers for which State Level Training of Trainers has been held on 25th July 2015.
District Level Training of Trainers is also to be held after which Principal Director will issue an order regarding the new Guidebook for Health Workers. The meeting also held discussion over arrangement of Incentives for Specialists working at rural and peripheral places besides District Hospitals.
Replicable Practices from Shimla Summit:- Panchayati Raj Institution, Birth Companion Programme, Birth Preparedness and Parental Education Programme, Public Help Desk, Patient Feedback Mechanism, Public Health Cadre were also tabled for discussion. H&FW Secretary Lalhmingthanga, who presided over the meeting, called on the Health Society members to do their best in cooperation so as to overcome the problems concerning various Health Care Programmes in the state.
Meanwhile, he thanked Mizoram Finance and Planning Department leaders for their help in times of the society’s financial problem.
Dr. K.Lalbiakzuala, Mission Director, NHM explained the follow up steps taken as per the resolutions in the previous Executive Committee Meeting. Dr. K.Ropari, Principal Director on his part spoke on the ongoing initiatives concerning the duties of Health Workers. Report on the initiatives from RCH, IDSP, Immunisation and other Programme was given during the meeting.
Under Mizoram State Health Society comes State Programme Management Unit under which comes District Programme Management Support Unit and again under this comes different National Diseases Control Programmes, RCH and different Units under it and different units under Mission Flexypool.
