Aizawl, Feb 2: School Education Minister H.Rohluna this morning inspected Govt Primary School-I at Dinthar locality here which is being renovated for IAS Coaching Centre.
The Minister was briefed on the nature and progress of the ongoing work by Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC) Chairman T.Sangkunga and colleagues.
The Minister lauded MYC for its initiative for IAS Coaching Centre in Mizoram and expressed satisfaction the proposed building for it.
He expressed hope that the IAS Coaching Centre would awaken the youth in the State for IAS and other competitive exams. Parliamentary Secretary for School Education Joseph Lalhimpuia, who accompanied the Minister during the inspection visit, also lauded the Education Department and MYC for their initiatives concerning the educated youth in the State. He also expressed hope that the IAS Coaching Centre would awaken the youth and also bring progress to Mizoram. MYC Chairman T.Sangkunga on his part lauded School Education Department for providing the required infrastructure for the IAS Coaching Centre, which, he mentioned, is to be outsourced by Alternative Learning System (ALS), considered the best in India. Class will be started as soon as the premises in made ready, he said. Jointly with Excel Classes, Delhi, Staff Selection Commission Exam Coaching Class is also planned to be opened up, MYC Chairman added.
The building of Govt Primary School-I, Dinthar is being renovated for IAS and SSC Coaching Centre.
IAS Coaching will be 1 year Course (Prelims + Mains + Interview) and the Course fee will be Rs. 80,750 of which the government will bear Rs. 60,000. As per plan, 100 seats will be made available per course.
SSC Coaching on the other will be 3-4 months Course and the Course fee will be Rs. 12,000 of which the government will bear Rs. 9,000. There will be 200 seats per course, as per plan.
